Ministries

We seek to provide members with a place where they can worship together and work as a team to provide positive impacts for the community.  Several ministries are available so that there is a place at TLC for everyone!
 

Children's Church Ministry:

The Lighthouse Church has an excellent Children's Ministry.  Part of that ministry is to provide a church service for our children, beginning at age 2 through 6th grade, and takes place during the regular Sunday morning service. 

JAM Club (ages 2-4):

Lion Cubs of Judah (ages 5-6)

Children in Action (ages 7-11)

Soldiers of the Rock & Missionettes:

This is a program for boys and girls ages 3 & up and is much like scouting, but with more spiritual emphasis.  Children can earn merit badges for completing different steps in the progam and participate in activities such as camp outs and crafts.  Meeting time is on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.

Rainbows:  Boys and girls ages 3 & 4

Missionettes (by school grade):  Daisy's - K; Prims - 1st-2nd; Stars - 3rd-5th; Friends - 6th-8th

Royal Rangers:  Boys up to 12 years old

Youth Ministry:

Youth meet on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. in the "STONE" Youth Hall.  The service is kicked off with a time of "power-packed" Praise & Worship to prepare the hearts and minds of the Youth to receive what God has for them from His word.  The teaching, inspired by the Holy Spirit, is on the cutting edge of what the youth need today - meeting them right where they're at and equipping them to "Impact their Generation Now!"

Men, Women and Seniors Ministries:

Women meet on the first and third Tuesday of every month at 10:00 a.m. in the fellowship hall of the church.  This is a wonderful time of prayer, Bible study and fellowship.  On the first Tuesday, there is a luncheon that follows the meeting and everyone is encouraged to bring a dish to share.

Breakout Night:  The 2nd Sunday is Breakout Night at TLC.  Women meet in the fellowship hall and Men in the hospitality room at 6:30 p.m. for Bible study and fellowship.

Caleb Group

For those ages 50 & up meet every 3rd Saturday in the home of George and Sue Burger at 5:30 p.m. The Caleb ministry is a one on one ministry, a place to share, and a place to grow.  As Caleb of old, we press forward tolay hold of our inheritance and to experience God's presence and power.

JLM Prison Ministries

Since it began in 2000, Sandy Taylor and Jesus Loves Me (JLM) Prison Ministries has seen many miraculous conversions in the the Texas prison system and on Texas Death Row.  Sandy ministers to nearly 200 inmates a month by newsletter and other correspondence.  She also makes Bibles available to those that need one.   To find out how you can help Sandy, please email her at sandy2345@sbcglobal.net or contact the church office.
